Overview
Problem and solution
Customer problem
When shopping for apparel online, it is difficult for customers to replicate the in-store experience of trying something on to see how it fits and what it will look like on them; they are limited to a picture of the item on a model that does not look like them.
Proposed solution
By allowing customers to personalize the model they see on all product pages according to their size, height, skin tone, and other parameters we can bridge the gap of online shopping while also creating a much more diverse range of models we can feature.

Entry Point
Introducing a new button to the Walmart product page with a cleare future facing vision, this button with the phrasing "Try it on" will be used as an entry point for all future AR tools.
Later update:
We merged the two AR apparel experiences into one CTA to not overload the product page.
by clicking the new CTA "Try it on", users reveal two options:
Try the clothes on Yourself
Try the clothes on a Model

In case you are unsure of your exact size
Design
Enter your measurements
To kick off the personalization we ask users to input their measurements, simple and commonly known information by a majority of online apparel shoppers, Size and Height.

Design
Models Carrousel
Starting with over 120 models we knew we needed to create a clear intuitive design to help users browse quickly and reach a decision on which model will represent them moving forward.

Design
Back to Item Page
After selecting a model users will return to the product page and see their personalized model virtually dressed in the garment of their choice, they can swipe to see other angles and details or dive deeper and see the full model measurements.
In order to allow for a quick edit of their selection the original CTA will change to "Edit model".

Users who have already selected a model
First-time users \ after deleting the chosen model

Clicking on "Edit model" will take users to a screen in which they can change their chosen model, go back to seeing just the original model, or even take a photo of themselves to become their own model.

“Totally recommended”
It may reduce the amount of returns if I can better self-select instead of buying certain items that won't look good on me.

“Loved this”
I think you do not want to overload the customer with a ton of options here. What you have is sufficient for most people. Do not make it too complicated.

“Great experience”
I think the features are great. I would not like to change anything about the 'choose my model' feature.
